Testimonials

W. Brent Gill
Attorney at Law

“I used Ron on a brain-damaged infant case that resulted in a significant settlement. Ron’s work was thorough, and his deposition contributed to the result. I would highly recommend Ron.”

D. Joe Griffith
Attorney at Law

“Ron provided a vocational assessment, functional capacity exam, economic report, and a life care plan in a recent case which resulted in a $6.7M verdict. He put in a significant amount of time to meet with the client, to get to know the client, and to get to understand the client’s needs and difficulties. Ron put together a comprehensive report that was thorough and well-researched. He then showed up for the trial and defended his report. He did an outstanding job in testifying. Ron does something relatively unique. He provides all four kinds of services that you need for a complex case like this, all in one stop. His testimony resulted in a significant difference in the amount of the verdict. I would without hesitation recommend Ron.”

Sam Radner
Attorney at Law

“Ron has extensive knowledge for the development of life care plans. I hired him to provide me with an expert report detailing the life care plan and costs for a moderately brain injured client. He has all the tools and resources to conduct the proper research, analyze the medical records sent to him, and put together a comprehensive report that is detailed yet easy to understand by laypersons.”

Wendy Schiller-Nichols
Attorney at Law

“Mr. Smolarski made a difference in my case that settled for over a million dollars. He was very experienced, professional, and testified well. I would definitely use him again in the future in my personal injury cases.”

Our Methodology & Process

As a professional life care planner in Indiana, our services adhere to the Standards of Practice for Life Care Planners, allowing us to provide our customers with the highest quality services.

Here’s a quick, simplified summary of our process for crafting life care plans:

We begin our process with an evaluee intake. This intake can be performed at the evaluee’s residence or at our location in Ann Arbor Michigan. This intake can take from 1 to 3 hours.

After the intake, we share the information we’ve gathered (which includes medical, and non-medical items needed, the purpose of each item, etc.) with the treating Doctor of Physical Medicine, or other medical professionals that could be involved in the process.

After a response from the medical professionals, we research costs, which are based on the evaluee’s location of residence. We also provide the recommending professional with resources and calculations for each item, providing a transparent outline of medical damages.

Note that the time needed to perform the cost determination can vary depending on the severity of the medical diagnosis. In general, it can take from 5 to 50 hours.

In most cases, a life care plan can be completed in 3 months, but this time can be reduced when dealing with medical projects.

The Importance of Life Care Planning

Here’s why life care planning holds paramount importance for legal professionals:

  1. Life care planning provides legal professionals with a comprehensive roadmap detailing the long-term medical and non-medical needs of their clients.
  2. A meticulously crafted life care plan enhances the credibility of a legal case.
  3. A life care plan ensures that clients receive just compensation for the injuries suffered.
  4. A life care plan or medical projection improves the efficiency and fairness of the forensic evaluation process.
